    Re: Ad blue

Yes, EGR and Adblue will be gone with electric motors. :) Some brands tried to mange with EGR only, some with Adblue only and were successful until later requirements. Now the trend is towards both,...
  2. Re: will the isolation switch effect a new radio?

Pretty much all current radios have channels and other settings stored on an EEPROM chip (or an equivalent memory that does not loose content when power is removed).

Re: Additional power supplies in cab

Quite many cigarette lighter power plugs have an adapter that can be removed and then it can be plugged to the "mini cigarette plug". This one is much better than the cigarette lighter as such but...

    Re: tilt compensation

Topcon X14 does not have an integrated GNSS receiver as far as I know. If you use it with the AGI-4 receiver, you can have it with a 3-axis gyro for tilt compensation.

    Re: valtra n141

Wouldn't this depend on the type of hydraulics the tractors has, depending on the model they have two options.

    Re: fendt 516

Figure from the manual. The max flow can be set for each valve and the priority can be on any valve.

    Re: fendt 516

I see, very relevant for the original poster of this thread. Should stay away from the 516 because there was one similar tractor that was tweaked by someone. Perhaps better to purchase a horse, other...

    Re: fendt 516

Quite odd. On the current models if you set the time above 60 seconds, the symbol changes to "infinite", you cannot set it to 120 s.

I'm sure one would loose a lot capabilities if only using the...

They have not changed it but I doubt everyone here believes you know what your tractor can do.

    Re: fendt 516

I think this all proves that you are not familiar on how to operate this tractor. Fair enough if the settings were not intuitive but you configure the hydraulics to avoid the problems you mentioned...

Re: SF1 accuracy in the real world

What sort of problems have you faced, SF1 related or something generic?

Have you set an offset for the Vaderstad drill, owners say it pulls a bit to one side?

Re: Anyone tried this type of grease gun yet??

If the magnet really works, then the option to use one hand only for pumping would be great. One could equally attach a good magnet to an ordinary grease gun and the tool would be smaller, would fit...

    Re: flotations or duals

But what if you need them to keep the ground pressure low enough? The comment supporting flotations would not apply in this case:
"Unless you really do need them to get the ground pressure low...

    Re: Fendt Varioguide.

It isn't VarioGuide unless you use the Fendt VarioGuide receiver. If it is a Profi Plus tractor, anything else than VarioGuide hardly makes sense because you only need the topdoc box to have...

Re: Camera for intelliview 4 on t7

How much was the OEM camera then? Does it have a unique connector? Usually a "standard" camera fits with an adapter cable (that may not be readily available).

    Re: fendt to use EGR

Do you mean "they have" or "are going to have" only one system? I mean to fulfil the 2014 requirements (that I just learned about)? Do you have a pointer to read more about the CNH approach?

    Re: fendt to use EGR

Thanks, this explains it all. I was looking at current models. Unfortunate indeed if they have to combine EGR and SCR to meet new emissions regulations.

Thanks for that clarification. Is this a local JD dealer publication? :)

Which Fendt is it that would be using both EGR and SCR systems?

I've looked at the Fendt parts book and the SCR engine has no EGR.

    Re: trimble rtk signal

Are you currently transmitting the RTK signal via radio from your base? If not, then you are already using NTRIP.

If you are using radio, you can of course rent your signal if other users have a...

    Re: trimble rtk signal

Does it have to be radio? I had a look at a John Deere demo tractor and I think it had an NTRIP option.

If it is your own base, it isn't too complicated to feed the RTK signal via internet to the...

    Re: Fendt 720

It is difficult to give fuel consumption figures because it varies so much depending on the load. I had to drive the tractor 50 km for the first 50 h service. Fuel consumption...

    Re: Getting started

Isn't it like this with any product that is upgradable to RTK, except hat some may not need the unlock code.

I would plan for the final setup to see all real costs and to find out how the RTK...
