Fuel pipe which goes into the tank is too long, starts to suck & stick on the bottom of the tank, cut two angles off it or cut an inch off it.

Bit wild as a replacement although they are mostly fine if you're handling them quite often. A TexelxSuffolk replacement back to a charollais ram makes a nice lamb.

Yep as others have said, bushes in the starter. Same happened on our yamaha although the bushes were much cheaper than £30 as far as I can remember.
If you turn it on and hit the starter button, what's the first thing that happens?
