    Re: Turnout

Looking at the forecast Im thinking possibly turnout the freshly calved cows at the beginning of next week and do some on/off grazing. 30% of the herd is now in milk since calving started just over...

Also check simple things first, oil level in the back end and replace oil filter element. If you follow the main pipe off the hydraulic pump on the engine the filter will be located in the line just...

The hydraulic are cable operated from the lever in the cab. Check the cable hasn't broke or come free from the end as this has happened to us before.

    Re: MF 6150 4wd problem

Sounds like an electrical fault. Check the connection to the 4wd solenoid and check the earth connections on the tractor.

Might also be worth checking the connections to the autotronic box under...

  9. Could a trials bike be registered as a light agricultural vehicle?

    Re: Buying a new tractor

The Fendt will be an early 716, I'm guessing 2000 - 2003 model. It will not have TMS which is a feature I think is a must on a vario. Depends on the price and condition of the Fendt. If its on...

    Fendt engine to PTO losses

  16. Re: Should All Year Round calving dairy herds get a premium

Spring block calving herds dont actually produce that much milk. Most are yielding around 5000 - 6000l, so it takes 200 cows at 5000l to produce 1 million litres of milk.

    What Im trying to get...

    Re: Caddy Pickup

The gear linkage is a simple job for a mechanic. A few hours work at the most. I did mine myself but its still not great. Just live with the slop it wont affect the gearbox.

    Re: Caddy Pickup

    I've got one.

Pretty much bomb proof engine and will go on and on, parts are dead cheap. Gear linkage is a weak point and is probably sloppy but not a major issue if you can live with it.

    Rust...

    Re: Rental prices for land

Bit to much I reckon. 70 - 80 per acre tops. That said it depends a bit on how the neighbour will manage it if there just taking from the land and not putting any nutrients back then charge more.
