Quite coincidentally the NFU had a meeting on this very subject tonight and their UK specialist on this subject, Tom Price, was the main speaker. I got chance to question him on this very point....

Re: Large tankers and trailers on the road.

JD, weighted appropriately, 11 tonnes? Tanker could be 26 tonnes. Our major 2400 with shoe (lighter than an injector) and some additional kit, is bang on the limit at 18.2 tonnes.

Re: Large tankers and trailers on the road.

The RD of slurry is very close to 1 so it's a tonne per cube. A 4000 gallon tanker is just over 18 cubes so 18 tonnes capacity. That's basically your trailer weight gone with no tare weight at all!!...

Large tankers and trailers on the road.

As the title says, my question is about tankers and trailers running on public roads that are obviously way over weight. As far as I can see, although new legislation allows heavier gross train...

From what I remember of our 8830 the joystick isn't anything special. Just a glorified switch. I would think something could be constructed if yours is knackered and unobtainable at a decent price. I...
