    We got our 6616 in October. It looks smart, especially on the big wheels, nice to drive, comfy and quiet on the road with plenty of power, even at low revs, impressed.

    They do look narrow. We've gone for the 2.2 wide for the same reason for visibility hedge cutting and mounted mower. Will be on 650 tyres but hopefully shouldn't be a problem.

    Should be on 65 plate then.
    Wheels must be bad to find, been awhile now.
    We've not even had build date for ours yet and massey shut for all of august. Was suppose to be due September.

    Had 1 for 2 years and just sold it.
    Far too heavy on 140hp 6 cylinder tractor, had to be careful on hill sides.
    3.2m hung out on an arm 1.5m away from the tractor.
    Did tidy job just wasnt safe....

    Delaval being least expensive would surprise me aswell. Been in over 3 years now and feel that delaval losing their way a bit especially in the last 18 months, dont have the same confidence in them...

    We just have some cheap 7w led lights over the feed trough on at night and 2 strip lights over the top of 3 robots. Never tried complete darkness because it is a low roof so would be really dark. ...

    We put a foot sprayer that DP Agri made for us on the exit of the robot The cows pass a sensor that sets the pump off and sprays the feet as the cow walks out.

    You dont have to sign a servicing contract with Delaval.
    We have ours serviced every 4 months where the engineers go through the robots and change seals, pipes and check components before problems...

    We put robots purely because of health and sanity reasons. See too many people with bad hips and backs through milking and dad had enough of being in a parlour pit for 5 hours a day....

    Robot arm recalibrates itself when its gets a kicking on Delaval.
    Seems that when things are going well the manufacturers come up with an upgrade that will solve everything, but then causes issues...

    Do people shut their robots down and reboot the system on a regular basis,
    Delaval advise us to do weekly.
    Can tell the difference if we start getting few incomplete milkings we switch them off,...
