Last year, knowing that they were going to stop any claims under 5Ha, I sold my 1Ha to D (who had 4Ha).
All boxes were ticked (as far as I knew) and I moved on in my world of unsubsidised farming ;)...

Re: I don't like it..... It's too damn quiet

I personally know stuff all about running a forum, but it has always seemed strange on here that the main man (?) is conspicuous by his absence :undecided: which just makes it all the more 'empty'.

    Re: Parlour Double Up

My ADAS advisor at the end of the last century told me when we had a 10/20 that doubling up to 20/20 would be equivalent to 14/28

    We narrowed the pit
Changed the standings from 3' to 750mm...

    Re: 112 rather than 999

I *think* that america uses 112, therefore it must be worldwide!! :D

In Cyprus, all mobile numbers start with 9 and most of them are 99 then some may be 999.....
    They use 112 there surprisingly!...

    Re: Extending Milking Parlour Pit

What we did many years ago ....

Made the pit narrower with chequer plate, so that the cows stood at 2'6" centres (instead of 3') then we got 14 cows in where we used to have 10.

    Could you do...
