Re: JCB JZ140 360 track motor plugs problem

Should've said - going round the outside with the hammer allows you to lean on the allen key at the same time.
A 10mm key will stand a short piece of pipe. FF's suggestion of hex socket and...

Re: JCB JZ140 360 track motor plugs problem

Give it a good rattle round the outside of the plug (not the plug itself) with a hammer.

 It's got nothing to do with the EU.

As I said, it's not the Irish you should be worrying about.
And this Government won't tariff anything that would push up the cost of living for UK consumers, post Brexit

    Re: Irish Border

What he actually said was - cheap imports from the likes of the US would undercut the UK market for UK and Irish farmers alike. i.e. we'd all be in the midden together.
    A no-deal Brexit will leave...

The difference is - they used to try and hide it, and getting found out was problematical. Not so with Boris, it would seem.

    A 344.

    Bit before my time :p

We did have a 255 for a while, which would be the model that replaced the 344.

The top link sensor shouldn't cause the arms to lift if the lever's in position control. If they've had that problem before, the operator must've had it on draft by mistake.

Yes, you will need the tee-bar top link. An ordinary top link will be dangerous as the digger could rear up when your pushing down with the boom, and you could get pinned against the cab. Foster...

    Re: Mcconnel bale packer

Why are you so set on the balepacker? Would a flat-eight sledge and grab not do your job?

Even if you do find one, lack of spare parts will be a problem, I'd have thought.

  21. Re: Ploughed Land, Growing Weeds - Will Power Harrow Eradicate Weeds Before Seeding?

If the weeds have been growing since early summer, it really needs ploughed again. Repeated power harrowing might break up the weeds enough to make a seedbed, but it's not ideal.

Re: Massey Ferguson baler in haylage?

Clearly if the OP is thinking of making any quantity like this, some kind of loader mounted miniature bale squeezer would be essential.
