    only ever used a rope not sure a flat strap would apply enough pressure or are you thinking of using a ratchet aswell

    The problem is you've got to put them on and off ? have you tried a rope around her body just in front of the udder and over her back , tighten to apply pressure , the original Kick Bar !

    Having used most tags on the market over many years , settled on Shearwell SET TAGS ,and if you buy 200 + pairs then you get free replacements for life ( you still get the odd one ripped out )

    Seem to ave about 1% annualy 2or3 while suckling and 7 or 8 after drying off . Have you looked into Maedi-visna which can cause mastitis
