    Re: ihc 574 gearbox/hydraulic problem

Just to clarify, the gearbox and transmission share the same oil on a 574. Hytran is the original recommendation but any UTTO 10w30 is fine. Just do NOT use standard hydraulic oil (or gear oil for...

Re: Ford New Holland 8340 SLE help thread

If everything else is working ok,I'd be looking at replacing the synchroniser, perhaps thrust washers if required, the lube tube seals and front plate seals and gaskets. The synchroniser can be got...

Re: Ford 4610 link arms stuck up

Had a 4000 a while back with the same problem. The unloader valve was stuck. Unfortunately it's a lid off job to get at it. I would assume the setup to be much the same in a 4610.

    Re: Has MF bought Lely?

Agco bought over Lely forage equipment in 2017. Looks like the milking machinery is all that Lely deal with now.The arable sector went in 2001 to Tulip Industries and seems to be branded/marketed by...

    Re: oil in coolant

If it was leaking liner seals, there would be coolant in the oil. Either a blown head gasket and/or a cracked head.

Re: Ford New Holland 8340 SLE help thread

Presumably you have read post 430 above? That would rule out fuse 20 if you've checked it...........Other than that,I think you could need another ecu to try.

Re: Ford New Holland 8340 SLE help thread

Any chance you are getting E32 code displayed on the dash? This is ''keep alive memory failure''. Sounds like it's not retaining the clutch calibration memory. There's supposedly a lithium type...

Can't help with the ecu and the fact that you said elsewhere you had it repaired/sorted would hopefully rule it out. Any chance of borrowing a known good one? Did you check out the fuseable links at...

Going by the parts book, there are only 2 bushes in total. Presumably(again going by the book) it's a cabless model John? Only the cabless have one bush in each end of the linkage. Cabbed models have...

    Re: Serial number help

That's not a serial number or casting number. The E1A parts simply denotes the model built between 1951 and 1964 and the rest of the number is a part number relating to the part it is cast into. You...

Are the arm stabilisers loose to start with? Have you tried taking up the weight of the mower on the arms before releasing the hook ends?
