    Re: Massey ferguson 390

When the log splitter spool is in neutral the oil should flow to return. The only problem might be if the return is too small and/or the return is plumed into the top of the transmission. You could...

    Re: Free at last

The car companies are not UK owned are they?
Not just the unions to blame for the car industry (and others for that matter) during the 60 and 70s. Some seriously poor management and decisions.

    Re: Blue Antifreeze

That is a lot of antifreeze! Probably useful to put up the spec of the fluid so folks can see what it is.

    Re: Case IH 1056xl

It could be that the drive the cable inserts into has stripped (damaged) or the dial unit/meter is damaged. Our 956 dial started bouncing on different speeds and evetually ceased altogether.

    Re: IH 2500 / 574 questions

As Agrimax suggested remove the sump and you might see what is going on. We had a 674 years ago that let coolant into the sump. The o rings had failed.

  15. Re: Is the lift and back axle on a 7740 SL the same as on the 8240 SLE

I am no expert the SLE on the bigger tractors had quite a lot of different features to the SL. The later I think would be top link sensing and a gear pump. Our SLE 8340 has lower link sensing and a...

Re: New Holland to Manitou hitch

I guess one would be to buy a manitou headstock and weld on brackets that fit your digger. Could be an issue with some insurance companies perhaps?
  17. Re: Which sears Seat to fit in the New Holland TM / 40- series?

I replaced the seat cushions in my 8340 to discover they were not as comfortable as the original. I was supplied with a Grammer DS 85 equivalent but they were not as deep front to back or top to...
