    If your spools are putting up pressure, try pulling a spool and turning the steering wheel at same time. A former Case IH mechanic told me to do this on my 85 series once when steering wouldn't work....

    I would say it would make a fair bit of difference. If you tried to put a 14 foot trailer into where you had only been putting a 10 foot one it would be a fair bit more awkward.
