Re: Welder for general farm use

To add my 2p a pro welder friend of mine put me of Mig welder years ago on the basis that i do not do enough (just general occasional repairs) to justify the gas and also the problem of corrosion in...

Re: Tractor dilemma, which to change?

Would it be crazy to overhaul the one with the worn brakes and breathing engine if the transmission is sound? What would it cost, the whole lot could be put against tax.

Re: ford 8340 injector pump timing

Unless the pump has been off before or always been wrong I would be cautious. Our 8340 warms up fairly quickly for a big 6l lump but it only over heats if the rads are dirty. They are old now and...

Re: Case 956 hydraulic not going up

Have you got the little external wheel on the mudguard? I think you might need to be a bit more specific and someone like Gapples might be able to help.

Re: value of a Ford 8210

Have you just bought it? :D

Serious money if it is as good as looks in photos. Can't be many around like that. I would stab at 50 to 100% over average prices.
  10. Re: Correct fluid for brakes on International 956xl

Rightly or wrongly I never bought Hytrans when we had a 956. Used a SUTO where needed (wet brakes), and used that in the res as well. EP gear oil in the front axles and outer section of rear axles....

    Re: TS110 Transmission Problems

I suspect Agrimax is right. If the packs having been slipping then the wearing surface will probably be damaged anyway. What would be worrying is if the initial cause were not in the clutch packs...

    Re: JCB 3CX - 1986 Wont Start

Follow pipes into the injector pump in reverse to see what you have there. You might have single or double fuel filter and/or sediment bowl. Locate the lift pump on the side of rhe block. Open any...

How can you tell from that photo? :D

Actually under the rather ill-fitting bonnet lies an early super connected to another. ;)

Re: Ford New Holland 8340 SLE help thread

Our 8340 is generally very light on the shuttle lever but occasionally the shift will baulk and moving back to neutral or opposite direction makes it easy. I never force the lever. On the other hand...

  22. Re: Hydraulic/transmission Oil used in "Tumoba" Self Propelled Sprout Harvester?

I take you have not got a hand book? Is it hydrostatic drive and is there on tank for all?
    Most heavy hydraulic applications require

Not long in those days I would guess.
