  1. Re: What are these lines on this aerial photo of this arable field?

Can't dispute that the pattern is the same but the satellite image in the OP doesn't look like its been dug up. It could have been take after the trenches had been filled in though
  2. Re: What are these lines on this aerial photo of this arable field?

If you look at the google maps satellite image and zoom right in then play with the "3D" view and rotate it about, it looks like those patterns have been sprayed out. No digging appears to be going...

Re: improving ground for sale purposes

As far as I understand it, if you have inherited the field because you mother died then the value for capital gain would have been set to the value at that time. If however you inherited before she...

Re: improving ground for sale purposes

Been trying to fit together the snippets of info you're giving. Your first post reads like you've just inherited a field that has been neglected for 12 years. Am I right in thinking you inherited it...

Re: improving ground for sale purposes

Oh, didn't realise you inherited 12 years ago. I think the capital gain would have been reset to what ever it was valued at 12 years ago (the inheritance value). As it's going to be split 3 ways...

I do believe a transfer at death nullifies capital gains tax.

Some will, some won't. Those that are prepared to change and able to weather the storm will survive.

I didn't say that was the only reason they joined in but they weren't being particularly helpful beforehand. The fact the '30's was a bad time financially for the US was probably a big factor in...

I know the yanks eventually came to our aid but it was only after the Japs had kicked their arse at Pearl Harbour. They would even let us have the ships and planes that we had bought off them.

    Sorry I spoke.
Footsfitter's link was to a post on another thread (which didn't actually give an answer). I thought it had been suggested that a 227 was a 2wd version of a 247 and as a 247 is a 7m...

Re: New Zealand to slaughter 150,000 cows

So they're saying the increased price of produce will offset the reduced production (for farmers). Those that lose all their stock won't have anything to sell no matter how much it's worth.

Re: Can someone tell me what's going on here ?

I'd keep an eye on it then, and move the spawn into the pond if there's chance it will dry out before the tadpoles finish growing.

I'd say they're mating. Leave them to it and the chamber will be full of frog spawn this time next week. Does it ever dry out?

Re: 3.5 ton towing capacity van?

Moving your own equipment between sites, to be used by yourself would be OK but if you were moving it and someone else was going to be using then it would come under tacho rules as far as I am aware.

A van and 3.5t trailer will require a tacho if used commercially.
