    Double checked and it is all wired up according to the book. Nissan agent fitted the alternator so it should be wired OK. Just wanted to see if there was a simple solution before they have it back in...

    Had every fuse out and tested with a meter. All OK, red light still on, although it is definitely charging

    Thanks for that. You are right it is a 54 plate. Have checked every fuse inside and out and they are all ok. Back to the drawing board:(
