    Re: Leyland 4/98

Everything except the models indicated in that link used the holset brand turbo, ie the vast majority of all 4/98TT's ever built. The rare and not very good 904 had some tweaks for more power...

    Re: Leyland 4/98

I am assuming that as the OP is fairly old it was overhauled by now and he's thinking of adding a turbo but information to go on what's actually taken place is scarce. Pics would help too.

    Re: Leyland 4/98 TT

From Memory I would tentatively recall that most of the tractors had a Holset brand one though I'll need to double check to be sure. One or applications used different brands of turbo. Contact...

Re: 13 pin to 7 pin trailer light adapters

My Father bought a new trailer with the Euro socket and adaptor several years ago, nothing but bother up until I cut it off and fitted an ordinary 7 pin plug to the trailer.
  6. Re: International Harvester aircraft tug sitting since 1942

Hmm, by my calculation the pressure at 5400 metres is approx 7800psi or 510 bar. Strange then that a pneumatic tyre inflated with a few bar of air and rapidly subjected to these sort of barely...

Re: Track Marshall 155 wiring diagram for the dash.

On most vehicles of that era if the bulb doesn’t illuminate when the key is at the acc position it won’t charge as the bulb is feeding a small amount of current into the alternator that is required...

Re: Track Marshall 155 wiring diagram for the dash.

These tools make diagnosing your problem a couple of minutes work in the right hands and the pp1/ppx has internal overload protection, flick the button one way it's a live feed, flick it the other...

Re: Track Marshall 155 wiring diagram for the dash.

    Sorry,
I didn't make it clear the lamp should light when the ignition switch is on and the small wire earthed to the chassis. The easiest way to do it is usually to pull the plug from the alternator...

Re: Track Marshall 155 wiring diagram for the dash.

On the back of the alternator look for a plug with three wires short the small wire to the chassis and see if the lamp comes on,if it does there,s a wee brush worn in the rear of the alternator. If...
  13. Re: Case MXM internal roof light for illuminating controls

You'll be lucky if it's an adjustment issue as it's fairly common for the synchro hubs to fail in all variant's. My understanding is that is was more of a manufacturing quality issue rather than a...
  14. Re: Case MXM internal roof light for illuminating controls

Sounds like you are describing a white light interior light? rather than the unusual soft red light for highlighting the decals and the control levers etc. I was referring to.
  15. Re: Case MXM internal roof light for illuminating controls

In theory you could release the light with a screwdriver or two would be better, one each side but in this instance the light unit is recessed into a cavity so you'd need something with a 90 degree...
  16. Re: Case MXM internal roof light for illuminating controls

Yes only trim differences like bonnet and mudguards, cab interior panels etc.. The big mechanicals like engine gearbox and backend are the same as a TM or NH8360 etc
  17. Re: Reverse wont work on JCB409 y/2015 if i pull the parkbrake upp and down it works

You'll really need the wiring diagram for your specific serial number to figure that one out. Could be a dodgy relay or bad earth somewhere. Don't go swopping different coloured relays around as the...
  18. Re: Case MXM internal roof light for illuminating controls

Update__now sorted without removing the roof, on a whim I removed the grille over the speaker and cab air filter and found with the filter removed it was possible to reach over the speaker working by...
  19. Case MXM internal roof light for illuminating controls

Anyone replaced the bulb in what looks to be a small light inside on the roof that illuminates the rh control panels? I'm wondering it is necessary to remove the roof or can the light be prised down...
