    Re: Cooling system flushing

Thanks Footsfitter. I flushed the rad using loads of water and an airline in through the bottom hose connection which fetched a lot of material out of the bottom tank.

    Re: 956xl brakes

Sounds like the piston or the valve in the brake booster has seized in its bore. You need to take it apart carefully starting with the master cylinder and working back to the brake booster by the cab...

Re: Isuzu Dmax hill starts when towing

    Hi,

if there’s no weight being transferred on to the back axle from the trailer I think you just need to put it in 4wd. If it then stalls you might want to stick it in low range. If it’s any thing...

    Re: Case 895 4wd.

Just check your front axle pivot isn't badly worn as it can put the shaft etc out of line when in 4wd as the axle rotates - which can be the root cause of those type of problems.

    Re: Hydraulic headscratching

Not 100% on these tractors...... has some body fitted the pipes the wrong way round where they originate? The flow to the cooler will likely be on a bypass circuit and so could quite easily stop when...

    Re: Case 1255xl hydraulics

It's an open centre system - when you operate the hydraulics on the wagon it builds hydraulic pressure and kicks the spool into neutral like when a ram comes to the end of its stroke. I don't think...

Re: Case IH MX135 PTO Problem

Obviously it's a shot in the dark but it sounds as though the problem occurs when there's change in engine speed. However check that the wire coming from the W speed connector on the back of the...

    Re: JD 2650 overheating

Hi I would replace the thermostat and retest as it's the cheapest option. Did you check the temp of the bottom and top hose when you experience the over heating?

All sorted. I thought I was going mad! It could even have been a 24v version, I just don't know what the problem was with it. It makes you scratch your head that's for sure !

    Re: MX170 Starter

Thanks FF. It does have a spiral to effectively turn the gear as it goes in and out but I think that's to disengage the pinion when the engine fires and drives it backwards in the opposite direction...

  25. Re: Perkins V8.540 in claas dominator 106 problems
