  4. How to plough straight with a semi mounted DP6

    I have always been able to plough straight with a mounted plough. But have inherited a Dowdswell DP6 with 4 furrows and it is impossible to keep straight.

    Does any one have any tips please?

    I inherited the plough with the farm. My neighbour said in a wet year the previous owner took 2 furrows off which are no wear to be found

    Unfortunately my 'dirt' is not that good and I don't have irrigation. (although enough rain not to need it this year)

    DD is not just about planting the seed in the ground and shutting the gate. It takes several years to get your soils into true DD conditions with 2 to 3 years lower yields than conventional planting....
