Sounds like dirt in the twist grip. Try squirting some wd40 in there and twisting back and forward plenty of times (with engine off).

One of mine gets stuck in first every now and again and...

    Re: river crossing

I would just dig the sides out and drive through.
  3. Re: When to cut silage after moving livestock

I would cut it now while the weather is good, get it dry and the contamination won't be a problem.

    Re: Renting Cattle Buildings

I charge 5 per head per week for providing labour and buildings. The farmer supplies his own feed and bedding, or he can buy silage from me for 40/tonne and straw for 80/tonne.

    Re: Ford 8100 4x4 Valuation?

The engine is not the original, but the front axle seems ok. Tyres are about 50%, but I would probably change them as they are showing their age.

PTO brake isn't working on this one either.

    Ford 8100 4x4 Valuation?

    Hi all,

I have a Ford 8100 4x4 on my yard and was wondering what sort of price to put on it.

Ours used to use the slogan "Look after your ring, and your ring will look after you".

Mines arrived. I bought entitlements in the spring and have just had 90% of my money back.

This time next year I'll be in the money! ;)

So would it be a good idea to clam on as many acres as possible in 2014 and then reduce acreage and effectively stack entitlements in 2015?
