    Not sure of the clutch type I would have thought it would be hydraulic multiplate if the problem was also in reverse I would have said it was missing a tooth maybe on the drive gear on the pinion...

    You could also check Injector pump remove side plate and run engine and make sure all the pump elements are lifting the same amount I have known the cam shaft in these pumps wear and cause a similar...

    For position control ie arms up and down outer lever should be at the top at all times inner lever in rear position for down forward part way for up if moved further forward this would be constant...

    Could be the small orifice which is located under a plug on the plate on the front of the hydraulic top remove the plug and pull out the small filter Beware only pull it out straight DO NOT twist it...

    Remove filler plug on gearbox top and you should be able to see if there is any drive in the gearbox if not its probably the clutch plate centre spline has sheared if there is drive in gearbox likely...
