    We took one to pieces and use the drum without shaft to flatten scrap so you can get a heavier load on .Old 600 gal steel tank went to about 6" deep.

    All galvanised or cast iron 50-60 years ago and still running water. Fitted some fibre cement guttering and had fallen to pieces within 5 years not much better than cardboard.

    If pipe is embedded in concrete it should stand a fair amount of pressure, try a bottle of oxygen at 3000 psi should shift something.:eek: :undecided:

    See a lot of the Irish boys are raving about a spring barley called mickle, any one in (still) UK grown this variety ,tried to get some seed in spring but our merchant couldn't get any.

    We have had that same grab for 4 seasons now and tynes are still tight and going by your picture with your old grab alongside the quickie one it will make a tidier job of the face than your old one.

    If you do decide to keep/use the shear grab get onto the dealer you bought it off as there is a flow restricter that is fitted to that size of grab when fitted to handler to control flow.
