    Re: Wooden tyres?

The way timber is being cut in this country to fuel massive boilers just to claim grants and payments, there'll be little wood for tyre making in ten years time.

Re: John Deere 6600 lift problem

I had one of the old "Christmas cake" type controls replaced on a 6400 years ago. Can't remember how much but it wasn't too bad. Yours could probably be calibrated but the newer type is a lot nicer...

Re: Feeding concentrates on top of silage

We find that the silage gets tainted if we feed rolled cereals on top of it. We put a calf creep feeder in the shed and keep that topped up but then, it's taking up room in your case.

  21. Re: Could anyone help me with single farm payments advice?

THAT company handled a planning application for me a few years ago. Never again! They cocked it up and I had to pay another 1500 to reapply as well as their "Professional Fees"
  22. Re: Could anyone help me with single farm payments advice?

All sounds very fishy. You need to take control of next years sfp application. It's not rocket science and there might be a local farmer willing to put you on the right track for a couple of pints.

There are websites advertising for back loads. You might be lucky with one of them. I always phone around a few local transport firms to see if they are going near the area in question.
