Can vouch for that.................hit a concrete double headed one with a TS14 motorscraper when roading it to Andover back in the 70's. Rear engine air throttle stayed flat out as I turned off into an estate road, by the time I'd realised that something was wrong the front engine was ticking over, steering was non existent and the rear just kept pushing till I knocked the transmission into neutral.

Lamp post came over the bonnet between me and the exhaust pipe

That's a matter of opinion! Surely the photo says it all if he's a tool or not!

I saw a similar thing back in the late 70s one of the local farmer's sons was driving JD4230 power harrowing, drove straight in to a electricity pole, He blamed it on the exhaust stack, apparentely it had lined up exactly with the pole and he haden't seen it. It caused many laughs for years.

If you don t do big jobs you don t get big fuck ups. Simple. Now the man that started this thread is coming to spread lime on Saturday hopefuly. What am I going to put on the electric pole in the field to warn him!? Thought about a manure bag, any other ideas?

couple of yrs ago when i was hedge cutting with a ford 7810 i looked up the field and just saw bare grass but the exhaust pipe was blocking the large rock that the tractor ground to a halt on crushing a hyd oil pipe
