    O2 problems

Is anyone having problems with O2.

We are having a nightmare up he just now (in Angus) however O2 seems to think there is no problem. Just get network busy or text sending failing.

Have you tried resetting your handset? I had the same with EE (Orange) a few months ago. Switched off phone, took out battery, left it for a minute and started it up. Everything been ok since.

If that's true it kind of backfired on them. I changed to Three.

Check that your settings haven't been changed to receive 3G only. This happened to me once, I could only get signal in big towns.

Do you ever check their 'network checker'? http://www.o2.co.uk/network
Realise you'll not be able to use your phone to do this!

There's an O2 coverage checker there too. No 3G for me.

Don't I bloody know it, got an Orange pay as you go sim and stuck it in my phone, went all over the farm and surrounding area, signal everywhere, o2 insisted their signal was just as good (according to their information), it wasn't - 12 months later they have finally let me out of my 24 month contract - I will never deal with them again.

    Re: O2 problems

O2 have a really patchy 3g signal, basically anywhere outside of the centres of main towns you will be lucky to get any 3g at all, they tried to bullsh*t me saying they were adding masts all the time, when I wanted to leave because my iPhone was really struggling with patchy 3g signal, I had to keep it on 2g all of the time to stop it from wasting the battery trying to search for 3g all the time. Been on three now for 13 months without any regrets, iPhone works brilliantly with constant 3g signal, unlimited data 600 mins 3000 texts for 12.50 plus vat per month.

    Re: O2 problems

We can get 3G all over the farm but the phone won't work in many places
Sometimes the phone indicates full signal but won't work

Never had any major problems with signal or service and Ive been with O2 since 1995 when they where BT Cellnet analog signal before digital and still have the same number I started out with. Still no 3G here tho
