When to take stock off forage field

How long should stock be off fields for haylage before cutting? Thinking of running the cattle out onto a field.

Likewise, how long should there be between spreading last year's dung and cutting?

    Thanks.

Cattle off haylage fields before now (or now), fallen stones back on dykes, roll, fertilise, cut July - is what I do.
    Muck spread in March here.

As long as it gets 2 months after grazing I wouldn't be too concerned. My usual situation is to get them off it when you can do without it for grazing. FYM would need to be on 3 months before cutting. This would obviously dictate when stock have to come off too if FYM is the only form of fertiliser you have.
