    Laptop problem

    Hi all.

Thought I would ask on here first.

The touchpad on my laptop has stopped working. When I look at mouse settings it says "this device is working correctly"

Have I pressed something inadvertantly to cause this.

There is a hard to see button just up from it on my HP, along the edge of the pad.
    Or check along the front.

You may well have pressed a button or two inadvertently.

My works Toshiba laptop has a small button between the touchpad and space bar which turns the touchpad on / off, this is high end business laptop so might be different to yours.

The other place to look is on the F1 to F12 keys at top of keyboard, one of them may have an icon of a finger pointing at a square, if it does, this will probably turn the touchpad on / off, you may need to press and hold the Fn key down near the space bar to make F key work.
