    retrofit autosteer

anyone using a retrofit steering system for drilling just looking at different systems but not a lot of info on the web, there are the interchangeable steering wheel systems by topcon and patchwork (use patchwork 510 and cruiser at moment for vrt work ) and i have come across a leica system which fit an electric valve directly into the hydraulic steering on the tractor which sounds good but no experience of them any reports or suggestions appreciated thanks gdg

Or look at Trimble stuff, it works just as well, and the support is better.

had a look at cnh stuff (trimble aint.it ?????) and see they do the electro hyd valve which tees into the hyd circuit same as leica so that would seem to be a good set up, anyone using one??????

    Re: retrofit autosteer

My maxxum is set up with a steering valve and yes it is trimble stuff, but do compare the prices before buying. The steering valve works a treat, faultless and I really cannot fault the setup, or the backup I have had from my dealer, the one issue I had was sorted very quickly and I would say it's now as near perfect as I'll get. I do have an ez pilot on it's way to be fitted to a Bateman sprayer, it'll be interesting to see how it compares.

My only gripe which I will take up with my dealer is the old 500 screen could show local fields so you could pick one, the 750 can't so you have to go through the list. A little annoying.
