    New Website

Hello all. We have recently launched a new website and would be interested in getting people's thoughts. We have tried to make it very visual and hopefully made it easy to navigate....any comments welcome.

Looks good. Clean, professional, quick to load, informative and plenty of images.

    Great work

As far as I can see, you only show your phone numbers and your email address.

Are you afraid of disclosing your location?

I wouldn't deal with a company if I didn't know where they were.

    Otherwise very good.

Excellent site, dead easy to use. I like the way it is totally product focused and other stuff is down the bottom. Do you get many email enquiries? If so, I'd make the email address as visible as your phone number. Just a thought.

Click on link, first page, along the top, right hand side "Contact us", 3 addresses of their different places, one in Newhaven not far from here. Good looking website, I take it your products are as good
If in doubt get a bigger hammer

Hopefully a screen shot is attached to this post somewhere.

It's in between installation and go to JP cladding. Or are you just taking the piss

No, I am not taking the piss.

When I click on the link on the original post, there ia a gap - the "Contact Us" heading is missing. Using the link which you have provided Badshot, I can see it.

There is obviously a problem with the web site.

Have you got an ad blocker running? I had one site that my ad blocker stopped the menu being displayed.

I've been using various versions of Internet Explorer since I first went online 13 years ago. I'll stick with what I know.

I've no idea if I have an adblocker running. If I have, that's all to the good; I don't want adverts.

I watch virtually all of the (limited amount) of comercial TV programes I see via a hard drive recorder so that I can skip then ads.

Can you see ads on this site? If not, then you have an ad blocker running.

I say that, I THINK this site has ads, but I can't remember because I installed an ad blocker to get rid of them!

Adblock on Chrome tells me that it is currently blocking one ad on this page

I can also see the toolbar on the JP website on all browsers without any problems; F/fox, IE, Opera, Safari, Chrome.

I can't see "Go to JP Cladding"!

Nor the bottom of the Lego blocks box!

Btw. I find all the 'layers' on the website very slow to load.

Ah ha, that's the answer. I get similar. If I "zoom in" i.e. make things bigger, the site goes to pot and things start to disappear off the screen. Not just because it all becomes too big and you need to scroll. That doesn't work, menu items just disappear.

It's actually the other way for me. If I zoom out (make things smaller) the "go to Jp cladding" disappears. Zoom back in and it reappears. It's counter-intuitive, make things bigger and get more on screen, make it smaller and get less. That's on a Mac with Firefox. Scales correctly on iPad.

It does that here on chrome on my PC too.

I have to zoom down to 85% to be able to see "Contact Us".

So is the problem with the website or my computer?

That was on my laptop. On my desktop, It's only there at 105 & 110% zoom, otherwise missing.

I would be inclined to blame incorrect coding in the website. Too many people having similar issues on different platforms to blame the computer or browser.

Yes, it's the same for me. If you zoom in or zoom out, menu items disappear and I think other things go to pot as well. That's on a MacBook Pro running Safari, all up to date etc.

    Re: New Website

Hello all, thanks for the info, I have been off on holiday hence slow reply. I will get the people who built it to check out the issues you have described. There is the possibility it was just sorting itself out when the site when live, if anyone gets chance please could you try-reloading the page (press F5) and see if the same issue happens?

    Re: New Website

I have had a go at trying to re-create the issues but no joy - if anyone could have another try and let me know if it is still doing it that would be great.

    Re: New Website

Its doing it today on my browser (I refreshed with F5)

Its a PC with latest chrome browser.

If I zoom to 90% the "Go to JP cladding" disappears if I zoom out further the rest start to go.

    hope that helps

    Re: New Website

For me on an up to date MacBook Pro using latest Safari, it all works fine even when you zoom in or out a bit, which in practice is all you would do. But if you zoom in or out a lot (which I would never do), it still looses menu items.
