It's very very good and very big and you won't be disappointed by having made the trip.

Arguably the best agricultural show in the UK and certainly in the top 4. Does get very busy, especially on Wednesday (Welsh Cob day) and unlike last year (when it was the only decent harvest week of the summer) most farmers have done their silage so expect high attendances.

Thinking of little ones, the showground is in a bowl so gets pretty warm without much breeze on a hot day.

It's noted quite rightly to be the best in the Country

Prince Charles and Camilla going to be there on Wednesday so perhaps a good idea to miss that day.

That's the point. It is no joke for adults but children as young as that will suffer. It can be extremely hot there and when it is, people fall like flies with sunstroke.

Brings back bad memories of big shows and young children. If you've the children with you forget about having any time to look at anything you're interested in or having sensible conversations as trade reps will ignore you. Will probably spend most of the day between finding toilets and ice-creams. Then there's losing them!
    Ahhh good days!!!

There is a crèche there run by playgroups where you can leave the kids for a couple of hours. Adults can have a look round without getting the kids bored.

I'm gonna be camping near Hereford and going to Monday morning, is there a best road to go and a best time to be in show by for traffic?

Insanity is doing the same thing, over and over again, but expecting different results.

Hey zsnotdead, did you get to the show and if so were you pleased you'd made the detour?
Skoda, your ewe and lambs looked good. Did we see you having some success in the show ring with your Lleyns?
It was good to catch up with Tractor bob and to meet Songsheet.

    .
They looked excellent. The Suffolk Society should ask you to supply lambs for all their stands down this end of the world.
