How To Empty Your Grain Tank...............Or Not

Got sent these on Facebook, is in England as far as I am aware, bit to much handle forward and giving the steering wheel to much yeeeeehaw.

There will be a fair pile of shite on the cab roof I'd expect from the operator!

How did that happen, full tank, fast , tight turn or what?
Or did it go in ditch and pulled out?

The last shot does show it's on quite a slope but still must be mad driver unless something failed (?)
Wheels all look in correct position though.
    Except not on ground

Re: How To Empty Your Grain Tank...............Or Not

I bet that seemed like a lifetime passed by as that tipped over !!!

Considering its completely upside down there appears to not be a huge amount of damage and amazingly the widows are all still in it

However i bet its damages much more Than first appearance suggests and it's not going to cut any more this season If at all ?

Hope the driver is ok , assuming he is its bad enough having that cost and misfortune , let alone sharing it with 1000' s on Facebook and the net. Still we can perhaps learn to turn a little slower or else !!!!!

    Sympathies to him

Is that a puncture back left tyre, or top right as it is now?

I agree the n/s rear is flat . Must have been very scary in that cab for a few seconds .Surprised the header didn't stop it or become detached from the combine .

My neighbour, a steady careful driver and the field is a lot steeper than it looks in the photo, they have been cutting this field for many years.

probably first job is to drain oil and fuel etc out to prevent polluting the field etc, if its not too late

Re: How To Empty Your Grain Tank...............Or Not

My money is on the rear tyre being pushed off the rim as it it was turning, then by the damage all on the rear it looks like it rolled around the straw walkers area on the back?? Can't see how else it rolled over with so little obvious damage to the header.

If its borderline write off now, it surely will be after they have got it back on its wheels??

Sounds like no one got hurt which is the main thing.

Looks like as good a time as any to get the back axle pivot greased while there is no weight on it.

Maybe had mounted his toolbox on the header and extra weight had tipped it over. Since new holland forgot to fit one.

The CX80-- series has a good toolbox under the LH side panel that doubles up as a step to climb up on for some grease points.

good job the graintank was full, it probably helped the cab from not getting damaged. Not sure it would have looked the same empty.

Just a pity it's not sealed for dust. Would have made all the difference.
