    Woolsheets with no number on

Are you supposed to ring them up and ask for one, or just make one up?
Managed with one less this year so didn't need the blank one.
It's often a guess what it is supposed to be anyway.

Make up what you want. So long as its the same as what you write on the delivery card.

All we've ever done is put our business initials plus number starting from 1 on with sheep marker spray. Before they started issuing the new type sheets it was not uncommon to have half a dozen illegible numbers out of 20-30 sheets. When the weights came back they'd used our numbers to record the sheets and we never had any comeback.

We haven't bothered with numbers for years because we take the wool in ourselves. And as they take delivery, they take a note of each sheet number themselves. In fact we only attach one label, but I don't think it would matter if we didn't.

If we were using their lorry, we would just make sure that the driver knew which sheets came from us.

If there is no number on a sheet they'll write one on it with a marker pen when we take the wool in. Just write one on yourself.
Don't itch for something if you're not prepared to scratch for it.

That's what I've always done, just picking a number similar to those on the others. It only needs to give some record of who's wool is who's when unloading into a busy depot.
