    GPS Signal/RTX Rangepoint

Has anyone been suffering from a lack of GPS signal in the last 10 days of so? Egnos or Omnistar XP/HP? Also has anyone used the new Trimble RTX Rangepoint signal and if so how have you got on with it?

Rangepoint appears to be working fine. Upgraded in mid May, but tbh, haven't done much with it apart from plant some mustard. This week will see it tested on the drill planting wheat.

What is the price of renewing Rangepoint after the 12 month freebee?

The other 750 on Egnos has been busy doing all sorts of mundane tasks. it was regularly flaking out in the afternoons with 1 driver, but that was a couple of weeks ago, not in the last 10 days.

Couple of weeks ago there seemed to be a problem but recently it's been fine. Using rtk though but it was the satellite bit that was giving trouble.
If in doubt get a bigger hammer

Lots of people have been suffering with low satellite numbers at certain times of day for a few weeks now.

They have probably been loitering around Syria.

I think Rangepoint is gonna be something like 250 per annum.

    Graybo,

A price of 250 per annum sounds good for RTX, can you use it with a 750 already unlocked to HP2 ?
It take it accuracy is a bit better than HP/G2 as well?

    Thanks,
    Andrew.

Rangepoint RTX will not be as accurate as HP/G2, it's quoted as 15cm pass to pass but in practice seems to be better than that.

Centrepoint RTX is 3-4 cm but that is similar sort of price to HP.

Either will work on an Omnistar unlocked display.

We have suffered low Satellite numbers all season HP/G2 also that has meant not as accurate as it should be!

    Re: GPS Signal/RTX Rangepoint

The 750 on RangePoint had a bit of an issue today - every time I tried to engage the EZ Steer motor it kicked it off immediately, no warnings or obvious causes. Lots of satellites etc. This is a repeat of what happened last week with this unit. The only way to get it to engage EZ Steer is seemingly to reboot the 750, wait for it to re-aquire satellites / converge, and it works fine as nothing has happened.
