    Monitoring your hard drive health

I've just put this on my computers and am quietly impressed.
You can run it as a desktop gadget to show temperature which is especially useful on a laptop.

I run a netbook continuously as part of a weather station, and have set that up to email me if temperature rises or other problems emerge.
In theory it will detect a failing drive in time to take action to at least back things up thoroughly.

Useful and rather detailed app, though it is worth knowing many motherboards will support SMART hard drive monitoring, if that flashes up= panic.

Heres one I've been running for a while. Installed it when the HD in this laptop seemed to be always chuntering away, it diagnosed it having problems writing so replaced the drive. Laptop back to normal.
