Should be fine if reared right not like an over feed Suffolk creep fed from the day it's born tip 20 ewes then either die or turn into a tooth pick with legs

I'm sure he'll be fine but to cover yourself put another tup in after three weeks. he will have covered most of them by then unless he has a fertility problem.

Or just put a harness on him - save having another tup 'just in case' - you'll soon see if they start returning. In the unlikely event that should happen - I'm sure innovis would see you right.

It 'should' be fine, but if it's not then you have an extended lambing period by the time you find out (even if you notice by 3 weeks). Up to you whether you're up for that gamble. 1:115 is a very different proposition to 2:230, IMHO.

Agreed - no way would I rely on a single tup unless he is a known and proven quantity and even then get a chaser in after he has had first dibs

I would put 2 proper tups in, and leave the Primera as a reserve for a dire emergency.

NZ composite terminal tup. Obviously not to Mr Slicker's liking. Perhaps not enough shape to put on those shapeless mules of his...
It is bred for growth rates, (off grass) easy lambing and lamb vitality and survivability. Not as shapely as traditional uk terminals.

Quite a lot of O's from mule type ewes I've heard, but grow fast.

Is the Primera a breed or a mongrel?

It takes a very long time to fix a cross or composite. Even a pedigree Suffolk can leave a lamb which resembles one of it's ancestors, the Norfolk Horn.
