A nice unmolested early one you have there, with the excellent starting 4.203 engine. What is it 1966-67?

A few nice Fergies above there.

Here's a couple from my picture collection.
First is a mate's 575 pulling large pipe laying mole plough with it's Boughton Winch.

Second is probably the most interesting 1250 you'll ever see. Yes it is a stretched Quad trac with metre wide track pads fitted.

595 Mk1 2wd should have red wheel centres at back and front.

I feel quite ill after seeing that picture. I'll be having nightmares tonight.

I've a feeling that one doesn't even exist any more. It got long in the tooth and gave a bit of trouble after a year or fews active service. After that they stretched a JCB 1135 Fastrac, put tracks on it and made it articulated. Now it was a heap of trouble. Track gearing caused a reduction in speed and the JCB transmission experienced some massive torque build ups and failed.
Local New Holland dealer spotted an opportunity for NH TV140 as they were already articulated. They had 6 or 8 of these tracked TV140s built and are still going.

Open to offers. You probably need to come and see it. I will post some pics in a few days (when I've worked out how to post pics!).

I've never been around Massey equipment, but those 148, 165 and such are maybe the neatest looking tractors I've seen.

I always wondered where the winching picture came from. That's been around for a long time on the net.

    Re: MF tractors

Thought i'd post after being a long time viewer of the old forum. Here is a few of the Masseys I have the pleasure of working with at work. My boss is a true Massey man and wont have anything else other than the Merlo.

My personal favorite of the old girls:
The MF 188 looking a bit on the sorry side, but might try and get the boss to let me clean her up a bit one day.

The MF590 lugging home some straw last summer (if you can call it that)

MF 399 on a trip back home, I was asked to bring back a tonne of muck for the garden, was closer to 3. Not appreciated when I said I had to go back to work and wouldn't be wheelbarrowing it back to the garden.

The newest member of the fleet, the MF4370. Picture taken from underneath the combine after unblocking one of the cross augers which the boss bunged up with grass whilst trying to get the last few bits of Barley out of one of the fields.

There is some more but I will add those another time as i've hit my image limit.

I first saw the picture on the wall in the service manager's office of our local MF dealership. I knew who's it was but hadn't seen it at that height before. I asked my mate about it when I next saw him and he gave me a copy with permission to send one into Profi for their 'picture of the month'. I think it ended up on the web from their website where it was published.

The winch is still going strong but shortly after the pic was taken, he put the winch on to a heavier MF 590.
    You can see it on the end of the rest of his fleet;
