    how late winter barley

    how late would you sow winter barley DDed??

    got some that missed the boat when the rest was drilled

    We've sown some here at the start of November and it did reasonably well even though it didn't come up until New Year.
    In Pembrokeshire you might risk it?
    Not ideal but if you have seed already ...

    only monday got in to round up the field and its been too wet since

    fields sown 7th october are doing real well

    im going to see how this week pans out otherwise its leave it till jan/feb

    When I was in Norfolk, we tried a few bits of Spring Barley at the end of November after sugar beet. From memory they did well. I certainly remember taking a local farm machinery club round on a farm walk and they were most impressed.
