    Cricked Neck

After having made a short movie on my mobile phone, i've put it on my computer.

However, when i play the movie using Windows Media Player, the picture is 90 degrees out in an anti-clockwise direction. This is giving me a sore neck!

(I've noticed that it also does this for photos that i take, but i can easily remedy this in MS Office, as you can rotate the photo to normal.)

In Windows Media Player i can't seem to find how to rotate the picture - does anybody know if this is possible?

(Not using Windows Media Player isn't an option, as it's a works computer.)

    TIA

You can't rotate the video in Windows Media Player.

You will need to use some video editing software to rotate it, such as Windows Movie Maker, on the PC or you may find the video camera software on your phone will be able to rotate it and then transfer it again.

Excellent, thanks for that Nige. As long as i know that i can't use WMP to rotate, i'll have to look elsewhere.

I used to be able to 'rotate' the computer screen on my old pc - Ctrl+Alt+Down (or any of the arrow keys), but this one won't!

Use VLC media player, 100x better than WMP and you can rotate the video.

Tools -> Effects and Filters -> Video Effects -> Geometry

Your story makes me grin and remember a prank that was pulled in a previous place of employment when an annoying female member of the office staff had the tube turned 180 degrees in her old CRT monitor over a weekend and spent Monday berating IT support to fix it via control panel / graphics software.New monitor in the end, we got the old one for "parts".
