I've developed a tablet-PC software to our dairy farm. We got 100 milkers, total of 250 animals.
For few years i've been trying to get my hands on breeding, health, production, etc. with papers, Excel, maps, etc... a horrible mess, sometimes.
This kind of softwares here in Finland are missing. What is the situation in UK, or Europe?
I've started renting licenses for my software and I suppose I can some day translate it into English if there are markets.
You may try to watch the videos or pictures at website ( http://www.naka.fi/ ) but they're all in finnish, so I try to briefly explain what this is about:
- Individual history and some analytical information on each cow
- Dozens of reports of breeding, production, overall view of the herd, ...
- Milk quality page where you can individually or overally view and add notifies of amount of the milk, or mastitis, or cells, etc
- Internet connection only on logging in, no databases on Internet ; fast and reliable
- always with you (tablet!) , bring it to lunch, drink some tea and check reports and individuals
- easy to use, designed and produced by me to our cowshed, so all in-practical things have been eliminated
- Practical, #2
Requires Windows 8, 10.6" tablet-PC and connection to web. I recomment tablets with keyboard-attachments within the package
