    Replacement Tractor Seats

I'm looking to put new seats in my Ford 6410 (AP Cab - cr$p seat) and my Matbro Teleram 3 (Same old school setup)

Any recommendations of type or where to buy?

I don't mind a bit of fabrication to fit it

    Cheers

Your local tractor dealer will be able to offer a range of seats from their various franchises, like VAP, Sparex and Granit or whatever else they can find. Prices will be very competitive with on-line and specialists in my experience. For one thing, they don't have to make their living from selling just seats. They need your support to employ local people and to keep offering the service that they do.

Be carefull what seat you buy for the 6410, when i bought the 7610 (ap cab) years ago, the dealer had spruced up the tractor, and had fitted a new seat, as the floor where the seat fits is rather narrow the seat frame bottomed out after an inch of travel, gave me a bad back after a few hours in the seat, had to change the seat after a few weeks as it was undrivable !
This was the replacement http://www.kabseating.co.uk/XH2-U4-Fieldmaster.html much better seat.

Would happily support them IF as you say prices were competitive, but sorry in my experience Tractor Dealer Accessories on the shop floor are vastly more expensive then buying online (I will admit not always, but the few seats I have found are substantially cheaper purchased direct). Plus I want a drivers experience, not the shop salesman :-)

I wouldn't expect any dealer to have one in stock and, frankly, you wouldn't be putting a premium model in those machines as they would probably not be justified. Cheap and cheerful seats will be cheap and cheerful wherever you buy them and they will me much of a muchness. Your main concern should be getting the correct fit in terms of dimensions and design.

Personally I am a big fan of Grammar seats and not of Kab or whatever they are now called. But there are dozens of Eastern European and Far Eastern seats on the market that are cheap and adequate, any one of which will be better than nothing.

You want to buy by from a distant seller, fine. I've never seen a like for like saving there that is significant, but you have a source. Let us know how you get on and the savings you make if you would be so kind. It would be most useful to all readers.

I half think the old kit needs the premium seat (well premium suspension unit on the seat) as they weren't designed with any comfort in mind LoL

Modern tractors with suspension axles and cab suspension hardly need the armchairs they have!
