    suspicious van Tavistock Devon area

White van, reg believed to be EU51RZV with two guys in seen near our farm, wife saw the van parked up near us and was suspicious, said they looked like pikeys. When she got to our enterance the gate was open, we only ever leave the gate open if we are going in or out again as our lane opens onto common land and sheep/ponies come in. Nothing missing as far as she can see but large trainer footprint in porch so they must have knocked the door. Might be selling rather than nicking but you never know. Tavistock area.

I have been approached in the last week by 2 separate Irish gentlemen trying to sell tools and generators within 10 miles of you, however the vehicle doesn't match either of theirs. One had a nearly new RR and the other was in an irish reg transit connect.

Ring the non emergency police number
    http://www.police.uk/contact/101/

Must admit I dislike these white van type visits so generally call this number when they have left. They are always interested and generally want to know what direction they went plus the usual about occupants, vehicle details and what they wanted. If nobody reports any details it makes it more difficult for the police to keep track of what is going on and where they might need to investigate.

I did ring 101 and report it, got through quite quickly for once. All noted and details were going to be circulated to mobile units.
