    leatherjacket spray

    Hi Folks

How long a gap between spraying for leatherjackets and ploughing should you leave?

Assuming you have sprayed glyphosate also, at least a week. The longer the better, ideally it will rain and wash the chemistry down into the dirt.

In the meantime most people use the time to spread muck or slurry on it.

I usually give it 7 days. As said above, usually get on and plaster the muck on in between.

Thanks no Glyphosate and no muck to go on so will give it a week. It went on with plenty water and has had a couple of light showers so should be into the ground and giving the little blighters indigestion.

    Thanks for the comments.

Had problems with them last year. Heard its better to go before you plough, but is there a way to count their numbers so you know if spraying is needed?
