Genuine ones from Andy Guest would not be much more and would be better.

I put tines from Spaldings on my 4003 last year, and I'll be honest they are absolute crap, wish I'd spent a bit more and had genuine!! They are quick release, and the Spaldings spring clips that retain them break so tines keep falling off until I replaced them with genuine ones and they seem to be wearing quick compared to the original it came with even on our non abrasive land!

Spaldings parts can be absolutely brilliant or total crap depending on who makes the part, problem is you don't know which you have bought until it is on the machine.

Have just re-tined a 3m Kuhn power harrow with the quick fit tines. As i had 'borrowed' it from a friend, i put some kuhn originals on. They cost 10 each (200 for all of them).

It's a 4003 so they're already on, just worn and need new ones.

No idea on price now, but you used to be able to get full upgade kits. To change bolt ons to q-fit. For a 3m that was 10 holders, 20 tines and all pins clips etc. Were around half the price of buying individually over the stores counter.
Were ordered from the sales dept rather than the parts so might be worth a call to a dealer?

    Re: Kuhn power harrow tines

I brought some genuine tines for our 4001 and a later 4003 with quick fit tines. From memory the qf tines were about 8 or 9 and the bolt on type for the 4001 were 17. I think they were listed at around 22. I rang Kuhn at telford and let them know that they were taking the p!ss and they tried to fob me off with some B>S. Wont buy genuine again. The bolt ons were 7.20 for spurious.

I didn't think to try Mr Guest. Luckily I only brought one set of each or I would have had to take the unused bolt ons back for credit. Even the sales man at the dealership tried to B>S about it but couldn't get away from the fact I could by at least two sets of tines for the price of his genuine ones, he made me quite cross I have to say.
