Shifting round bale silage ,and wondering why so few people can drive their cars their side of the road .
Insanity is doing the same thing, over and over again, but expecting different results.

Looking at maize, also catching up with sleep, have been particularly stressed with work the last few weeks, glad the peak time is now over, wasn't doing me any good at all.

Pleased to see Lumpkin, LM and CharlieBrown reappearing.

Yes, the link between the seat and the steering wheel makes a big difference RGSP.
Today I have been putting a skid back on the mower bed after making a new pin to hold it on with. Hoping to take it easier as the boys ted hay. Had 11 hours driving silage trailer yesterday for a local contractor. Driving a T7:200 and 12 ton AW trailer. I get asked how I got roped in with the team of young drivers and I tell them that I am the responsible adult in the gang.

TIHBM.... mowing the grass in the caravan field with the tractor lawn mower, disturbing scantly clad females on their deck chairs and sun loungers and thinking this job might have been very pleasant if only the Caravan Club membership average age was 30 years younger!
Also avoiding electric hook cables, awning tent pegs and water containers around the caravans while still remembering several years later the 'shower that ran out of water' incident.

TIHBM sitting in a neighbour's garden having lunch, hearing a baler from the direction of our little hay field, and running home to rake a bit more of the hay so that the baler could pick it up. Could have done with being there half an hour earlier, but I should think well over 80% of it is baled, probably over 90%, and it is an awkward little field.

TIHMB driven mental by a four and a two year old, both of whom think that Daddy has time to play, garden, fix a broken penguin, mow the lawn and do some planting - as well as all the jobs that Mummy wants him to do too. Role on harvest, at least I'll have an excuse understood by other farmers for being knackered then!

    Congratulations Big Vern.

Today I have been breaking things again the Ford 6640 this time. I think that I took it out of gear without pressing the clutch, too busy trying to get someones attention to pass on a message, instead of paying attention to what I was doing. End result I had to lead 187 small bales of hay with a quad and small trailer that took 7 bales a time. Another lesson learnt the hard way. now to work out how to fix it.

Well done Vern - sounds like a bloody good bash!

TIHMB teddering hay, stacking hay bales, drinking on an empty tum (yay!!), looking forward to quiche and chips for tea, hopefully timed nicely with the first episode of "The New Statesman" and falling asleep dreaming of Marsha Fitzalan (or as she was, back in those days). I'm off for one of Col's lie downs.....
