    AD FEASABILITY

what are the chances of A D . I have 3 phase across 1 farm with no other feed in currently, how do I find the capacity of the line ? Would I need planning permission. What is the current feed in. Sure I will have more questions if the thread develops. Thanks Crusader

    Re: AD FEASABILITY

Contact your DNO (operator of your local electricity network) to check out connection capacity.

There are at least 3 preconditions for an ad plant:
Elec connection (or possibly a nearby gas main for gas to grid)
Environment Agency permit - SR16 for a larger system, T24 for a smaller farm fed system
    Planning

What sort of scale do you envisage, and what sort of feedstock?

We did this in 2008, I think things have got a bit easier in the meantime.

Do you have a technology provider in mind? They should be able to do a lot of the preliminary work for you, or at least hold your hand when form filling.

We have been running our digester since 2010, and the one thing I would caution is that both time taken to manage the system and maintenance costs are often far greater than initially budgeted.

I am happy to discuss this further in the forum, or go to PM/email if you prefer
