    There's always going to be something that only works properly on an older version though.
    Eventually W7 at least won't be fully supported.

    If you have 8 it will seem very familiar but a bit like 7
    If you have 7 it will seem different in parts but not as much so as 8.

    Time to get around to updating if you want to.
    The free upgrade offer ends in July.
    It's worth noting that if you upgrade and don't like it and roll back, that PC will still have the W10 licence should you change your mind later.

    Both mine have been pretty trouble free and not found anything that doesn't run.

    My first computer was a Radio Shack coco2 - my first programming was in Fortran, using mark-sense cards ('72)

    Have a couple to do yet, been leaving them till last, one has an octogenarian operator and the other is W7 32 bit on a dell desktop that has several non compatable items to allow an upgrade. Would you know if MS would play ball if I were to install W7 64bit on a new desktop and then use the 32bit key off the old dell before scrapping it?
