How wide can bays go? Old shed? Slate to Tin

We have a old building, with a slate roof which is past its best.

It has wooden Trusses 12.5 feet apart, and each alternate one sits on a wall.

If i swap the slate for much lighter box profile, could i put in 25 foot z perlings and remove the trusses which are not on the walls?

The shed is 75 by 35.

My view would be the weight of the actual roof will not make much difference but the possibilities of future snow loading etc that would overload your trusses etc. are the centre ones in the way? What supports them now? How about an RSJ from wall to wall to support the centre ones?
