    Grain moisture meter

I have a cheap digital meter with a leaflet for converting the readings to Moisture % for wheat, barley and oilseed rape.

There is no scale for oats. Does anyone know how the readings on other meters for oats compare with those for wheat and barley

Our meter uses the same chip for Barley and oats and has a different one for wheat and rye so the oats and barley readings might not be too different?

    Thanks for that.

Surprisingly a cheap wood moisture meter which came free with a wood-burning stove, and has four prongs
less than half an inch long, gives fairly reliable results - and each reading takes only a few seconds.
