    Fordson Super Dexta restoration

Seeing how popular these sort of threads are here is my on going restoration over the last few years (missed out a lot such as stripping a doner tractor, etc) (also had to put the few pictures i had into one as it wouldn't let me upload more than one at a time).

sorry forgot about this, currently the brake back plates are on and the brake shafts, rods, handbrake, starter and stripped top cover casing are ready for primer and the lift crank(?) is off to get the position rail machined flat (thickness of a roller I've goten to fit over the new peg taken off, both are from a roller chain selection box)

the parts are back from machining, fair play he even took a skim off the clutch pedal pin (didn't know it had worn slightly out if round), pedal was just in time for the latest batch to be primed 👍 also hydralics pump has been stripped for new seals but looks like it might need another main casing due to wear

got a load of other bits cleanded , roughed up the factory paint on the new steps and primed the lot, not much priming left really, one thing im a bit annoyed at is i was cleaning the lower dash ready and a hole formed in the side so some bodywork to do , love the pallet system i moved it into a shed just incase of rain and the next day/yesterday it rained near enough all day . Just need to get new linch pin brackets for the lift arms, put the top lift together , put new track rod ends on the track rods (also prime them) , clear out the air filter the old fashioned way (also prime that) and then i can give everything the top coat and just a case of bolting everything back on then 👍. well I might leave the white bits till next year as I haven't got the new tyres or replacement rear centers yet, also blue wise i still need to source a nose cone and bonnet , so close yet so far as they say

    Re: Fordson Super Dexta restoration

Got a new phone so i might put up pics some other time when i transfer them to this. Got some luck/and a warm afternoon and sprayed everything i had in primer in blue and have gotten new brake shaft dust washer/springs and put the shafts , brake levers and handbrake back, ive put the pump back together with new seals after i gave it a good wash and consulted dad about it. I found a suitable ball bearing for the detent and put the clutch pedal/pto lever back together, then i made new gaskets for the pump, clutch/pto lever and the quadrant on the lift. The top lift has nearly all been put back together with new seals after cleaning and priming (rattle tin) the quadrant parts and the other day i put the pump and clutch pedal back on after cleaning out the sh.... debris (have to watch my language ) out the backend/suction gauze . Today i finished straightening 1 of the track rods, finished cleaning both and gave them a coat of primer (rattle tin) as the new ends had come.

She's Alive!! Sorry for lack of pics was flat out putting it together and getting it going before lambing, tested the linkage by picking up a big bale 👌 (why bale spike behind it) also got around to repairing the dash
