    Silage last week

It's usually about mid-June here, but it has been a rather late spring in the NE, with frequent cool onshore wind with fog and drizzle - though never particularly wet like further south recently.
Anyway the contractors were a good week behind schedule and are now starting second cut not far away - so new(er) machine is being kept busy.
Due to the delay it was a very heavy crop in parts and the last field was baled and wrapped, because clamp was full.

Mowing leaves a lot to be desired by the looks of it too.

Some of it had partly gone down in the wind and wet - have seen it worse.

Why did they drive that way round the field driving over the top of rowed up grass when if they had went t'other way round the tractor and trailer would've been on bare ground?

Could be a 101 reasons for doing it that way . Theres maybe a nasty steep bit and hes wanting to blow it up the slop into the trailers rather than down could have been a wet be he was tryung to avoid the trailers going through etc etc
