Note as of April 2018 Postimage are in dispute with the powers at be regarding their use of the .org web address and this has resulted in the movement to a slightly different address until they have resolved the issue. Some of you may of noticed that images used in posts may be missing, these may be ones effected by the above issue.
Postimage is still using postimage.org address but with a redirect to a temporary address. Any important images can be sorted by simply visiting your postimage account and getting the new URL link for the original image and replace the broken link where the image is supposed to be showing.
Hopefully they will resolve this ASAP so historical posts may be better left to see if this happens to save extra work re-linking unnecessarily
Putting pictures & photos into your posts on BFF
We no longer allow direct uploading of images onto the forum for security reasons.
The following guide is how to easily upload your images via a third party - Postimage.
Although you can register for an account with them, you can upload single or multiple images without any registration or ties.
Go to www.postimage.org
For a single picture or photo
To Choose image file - click Browse and find the picture file on your pc.
Resize - click on to show all resize options.
800 x 600 fits most screens.
Select “Family Safe” and then “Upload it”
Postimage will upload your image and host it for you, then supply you with the following options-
Below the thumbnail of your image are arrows to rotate the image if needed.
Click the Copy to Clipboard next to the Direct Link option.
Click into the BFF 'message reply box' where you want the picture to appear in your post.
Click on the Insert Image button, in the toolbar above the BFF 'message reply box'
Paste the link into the Insert Image box (right click/paste) and click OK.
Your picture should now be visible.
If you would prefer to put a thumbnail image in your post, copy the “Thumbnail for forums (1)" link into the Inset Image box.
When the thumbnail picture in your post is clicked it will open as a bigger image.
These basic instructions work for most other Image Hosting sitese.g.
