Thank you. Very interesting; excellent pics.

The soil in the vineyard looks very stony, and the stones appear to be rounded. Is the vineyard on a river plain?

I have moved this from 'Machinery', with the author's permission.

It is an excellent thread and might get even more exposure here
    in 'Agriculture'.

And it would be even better if it included a few animals.

Thank you very much for your comment

This type of soil is very common in Spain. There isn't any river in the area.

    Best regards.

    Very interesting!
I was in Spain 6 weeks ago , around Ronda , Andalusia. It was very noticeable the number of new Olive trees that were being planted. Largely in very rocky sloping land, land I thought had been growing poor crops of grain and was being put back into Olives.
Has the return from Olives improved??? Why are so many new being planted?
    Your pictures are really interesting.

The weather is really dry and grain crops don't give good profis. Olive trees can grow better even in poor lands but we have to wait about 5 years to first harvesting.

    Thanks for your comments
